Message from the Chief:

    It is my goal to see that the members of this department provide the highest level of services possible  to the citizens, businesses, and visitors within our community.

    The department has proudly served Town and Rural Citizens since 1937. Our members are still dedicated to the community in saving lives, protecting property, and responding to any type of call (non-emergency or emergency) when called upon.

    The department conducts fire and life safety education and training programs for persons of all ages working within our schools. businesses, and churches. The department is responsible for responding and controlling incidents; including fires, explosions, hazardous material releases, hazardous situations, vehicle and industrial accident, weather related incidents, and other calls for service when called upon. The members are responsible for other duties including routine maintenance and repair or fire fighting apparatus, equipment, and fire hydrants.

    Overall, the Catawba Volunteer Fire Department has a highly trained and productive force of personnel whom are involved in multiple task. I know that our personnel are among the best when it comes to serving the citizens of our district.

    It is with great pride that I serve as Chief with this group of dedicated members.
